CLEANING AND CARE FOR GRANITE COUNTERTOPS

Regularly clean your countertop surfaces with a damp cloth. Dry the countertops to avoid dull patches where hard water and soap residues may have been left behind during use. A light neutral (PHA) detergent (such as Ivory) may be used. It's always safe to use a commercially approved granite cleaner such as (Countertop Magic).  Avoid the use of abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, bleach or ammonia products.  These precautions are to prevent the break-down of your granite sealant.

Cutting foods on the countertop will not scratch the granite but will blunt your knives quickly. Use of a separate cutting board is recommended.

Hot saucepans can be placed on your granite Countertop without damaging the surface.

Granite should be sealed at least once a year to preserve the original finish of the granite. We recommend 2 - 3 times a year if the countertop gets heavy use.
